The village and its surrounding vineyards are a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the wines — Pomerol, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru — are among the finest on the right bank. With a private driver you skip the train-and-taxi combination and reach the estates that public transport cannot serve.

The train from Bordeaux Saint-Jean to Saint-Émilion takes about 35 minutes but runs only a few times a day, and the station is 2 km from the village with no reliable taxi rank. Driving yourself means no tasting. A private driver is the practical option: door to door in 45 minutes, free to move between estates, and no parking problem in a village where parking is tightly limited.
9:00 pick-up at your hotel. 9:45 arrival, guided walk through the village and monolithic church. 11:30 first tasting at a grand cru classé estate. 13:00 gourmet lunch in the village or at a château. 15:00 second tasting, often on the Pomerol plateau. 17:30 return to Bordeaux. The two banks are 90 minutes apart, so a same-day combination is tight but possible with two short tastings. Most guests prefer two separate days — Médoc on one, Saint-Émilion and Pomerol on the other — and we offer a reduced rate on the second day booked together.
